figtoipe software package provides convert FIG files to XML files for ipe, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install figtoipe
figtoipe is installed in your system.
Make ensure the figtoipe package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep figtoipe *
You will get with figtoipe package name, version, architecture and description in a table
